FLORIAN DOMBOIS: WHERE IS THE WIND, WHEN IT DOESN’T BLOW? ON ART AND DISCIPLINE

Installation by Florian Dombois
Conversation with Florian Dombois and Guests

Date: 20 December 2016 (Tuesday),
Time: 7:30pm

Venue: Connecting Space Hong Kong
Admission: Free

German artist, Florian Dombois, will install an invisible wind tunnel at Connecting Space Hong Kong and invite all for a casual open discussion on artistic disciplines after the experiences of the 20th century. After transgressing all boundaries in art, music, theater etc. we can wonder, “What does disciplinarity or transdisciplinarity mean today?” Surely it is not a question of media – anything can be called art, anything can be called music – but maybe of people, of actors? The discussion will also touch questions of artistic skill and the ongoing debate on art as research.
